Abstract


Elementary education is an important stage in shaping students’ thinking skills and learning attitudes. However, learning practices in elementary schools, particularly in rural areas, are still largely focused on memorization methods, resulting in students’ limited deep understanding. This activity aimed to improve teachers’ understanding of meaningful leraning through an educational seminar conducted in Tempel Rejo Village, Kedondong District, Pesawaran Regency. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through material presentation, discussion, and collective reflection. The results showed that teachers gained new insight into the importance of connecting learning materials with students’ daily lives, as well as encoraging active participation and critical thingking skills. The participants’ enthusiasm during the activity indicates that the seminar was effective in increasing teachers’ awareness the importance of meaningfull learning in elementary schools.
